Playing on a Winning Team

Belle celebrates with her clients on the deck of their new home.

Life in the Washington, DC, area is busy and complicated. There is always somewhere you need to be—sometimes more than one place. And in those times, it’s great to know that you are a part of a team that can help to fill in the gaps.

Redux Realty agent Belle Tunstall was able to find her clients an off-market home that checked every box on their wish list—including a large lot and a beautiful new wood deck—at a price within their budget. The new homeowners were thrilled with their purchase and were looking forward to signing the final paperwork and moving into their new house in time to enjoy the summer season.

Unfortunately, prior commitments prevented Belle from being able to attend the final closing. Enter fellow Redux Realty team member Craig Burns.

Craig was happy to fill in for Belle to make sure her clients were able to finalize their purchase in a timely manner. And he didn’t bat an eye when one of the clients ran out of the room while muffling a scream halfway through the closing.

No, there wasn’t a problem with the contract. As it happens, one of the clients is a huge fan of the Argentine national soccer team, which was playing a make-or-break game in the World Cup at the time. As Argentina scored a late goal to ensure their passage to the next round of the tournament, the client leapt in joy before taking a bit of a victory lap. Once order was restored, he was more than happy to complete the paperwork officially making him a new homeowner.
